Fall is here, the pumpkins are spiced, the air is crisp like the apples, and flannel and fleece are the recommended outerwear over your thin jean jacket you’ve been wearing all summer. Surrey has many unique and fun attractions that are perfect for fall.

Visit the historic Stewart Farm

The Stewart Farm is a beautiful, historic experience that showcases what local farm life was like 100 years ago. The farmhouse was built in 1894 by the Stewart family, who owned and operated the surrounding farm and fields. There are eight heritage buildings in total on the farm, including barns, sheds, and stunning heirloom gardens and an orchard.

Stewart Farm has a full fall program with something for everyone, adults, kids, and families. History talks are hosted weekly, every second Wednesday or Saturday. There is also a classic book club, with the Stewart farm being the perfect place to read books the Stewarts would have read after long days on the farm.

Drop-in visits are available from 12pm - 4:30pm from Wednesday to Sunday. There are also one-hour pre-registered guided visits of the farmhouse and grounds available at 1 and 3 pm. Proof of vaccination is not required, however, masks are mandatory in all indoor spaces. Space on the tours is limited due to physical distancing requirements.

Bee excited at the Museum of Surrey

Open for drop-in visits Tuesday-Sunday, the Museum of Surrey currently has an exhibit all about bees. Running until December 19th, learn about this important species, and how and why the health of the environment is reliant on bees.

Touch & Explore at the Museum of Surrey

On the first Sunday of every month, the Museum of Surrey opens before regular business hours. With reduced noise, crowds and lighting effects, this free, sensory-friendly space is full of calm activities and seating made to be supportive of people with sensory sensitivities

Plant a tree

Surrey’s urban forest has 1700 hectares of forests, meadows, and wetlands, with more than 109,000 trees in the parks and lining the streets. Across Surrey on Saturdays, join the ReleafTree Planting project and help contribute to Surrey’s ever-growing urban forest. Registration is required.

If you want to explore all that the city of Surrey has to offer, then book a room at the Surrey Comfort Inn. With comfortable, clean rooms, and excellent service, the Comfort Inn is a great place to plan your Surrey adventure.
